Not that I'm saying I don't enjoy the higher frequency of fights. In fact, I would love it if UFC had fights every weekend. But that of course would require more watered down fight cards.

What were some of the last cards you were legitimately super excited for? Maybe it's just nostalgia but I remember looking up and down UFC cards and being impressed. Now... not so much. I honestly think it's more that titles are put on the line more often.

I know... injuries, but maybe it was just me but it seemed like when the UFC was hurting. If a title wasn't on the line, the card didn't happen.

I think the last card I was really excited for was: UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit. Prior to that, I remember being super excited for: UFC 116: Lesnar vs. Carwin, UFC 107: Penn vs. Sanchez, UFC 94: St-Pierre vs. Penn 2, & UFC 79: Nemesis (GSP vs Hughes, Liddell vs Wanderlei).

Undoubted I'm forgetting some, but those off the top of my head.

Machida vs Rashasd, because I knew Machida was going to win and show the world that karate isn't just 'wax on wax off'

I've seen every ufc event since ufc 34, so i don't discriminate. but the last big one that had me excited (based on card, alone... not excitement of fights) was 172. that was a pretty strong card, and the event delivered too (i love some submissions!)

Glad your enjoying it. I recommend, if haven't already to check out M-1, One FC, Road FC and KSW.

if you said you did not get excited for 168 you are hipster my last was 171, 173 revive my love for MMA.

Oh but just for fit in. UFC IS DYING, MMA IS DYING, THIS SPORT SUCK, MMA IS BECOMING WWE, TOO MUCH FIGHT, PRIDE WAS BETTER, PRIDE HAD MORE LEGITIMATE FIGHTER SUCH AS BOB SAPP, GIANT SILVA, ZULUZINHO... I'M SO DONE WITH THIS SPORT. DANA RUIN THE LEGITIMATE OF MMA, BUT NICK DIAZ DESEVES A TITLE SHOT. FUCK FIGHT PASS I PREFER TO SPENT 100 DOLLAR ON MCDONALD INSTEAD OF 9.99/MONTH FOR FIGHTS.

Uh... seems like the last few cards I got really excited for got ruined by injuries.

Plenty of fights I've been excited about btu entire cards where I was like "whoa this card is stacked!" I can't recall.
