A former amateur standout from his native Cuba, Sanchez (12-0, 10 KOs) now lives in Las Vegas and is unbeaten since turning pro in 2017. The 27-year-old scored knockouts in his first six pro fights, and picked up nine victories in 2018. Sanchez most recently scored a dominant second round stoppage over Jason Bergman at The Armory in July.

After representing Puerto Rico at the 2004 Olympic games, Bisbal (23-3, 17 KOs) won 21 of his first 22 pro fights, including a 16-fight winning streak from late 2006 until 2013. He suffered defeats to Dominic Breazeale and Magomed Abdusalamov before winning his last two fights heading into August 31. His last outing saw him Edson Roberto Dos Santos Borges in December 2018.

bantamweight contenders will look to continue their rise up the rankings in 10 round fights as Ghana's Duke Micah (22-0, 18 KOs) is set to battle Mexico's Luis Roy Cruz (12-1, 7 KOs) while the Philippine's Reymart Gaballo (21-0, 18 KOs) steps in against Colombia's Yelson Vargas (17-1, 12 KOs).

I believe this is now going to be for the newly created WBA interim titanium really, really important -junior middleweight title.

Truax and Quillin now both out was a huge blow to what looked like a very TV-friendly card.

Lara will finally get a win over Alvarez.<{outtahere}>

Imagine Jim Grey's face if Lara was like "Yeah, I always knew I had what it took to beat Canelo's brother(cough cough)."

And just imagine if he did it in perfect English with a thick south Boston accent.

Also, damn, Quillin's career has been melting in the pockets of his promoters.

Lara (25-3-3, 14KOs) did his job, checking in at 153.75 pounds in hopes of putting another title around his waist. Alvarez didn’t even come close, as the Guadalajara, Mexico native showed up more than an hour late and still came in at 158.6 pounds, as reported to BoxingScene.com by Fox Sports boxing historian and unofficial scorer Marcos Villegas.

A battle of towering super welterweights serves as the evening’s chief support, as 6’7” Sebastian Fondura faces 6’2” southpaw Jamontay Clark.

Fundora (13-0, 9KOs), from Coachella, Calif. by way of West Palm Beach, Fl., checked in at a lean 153.5 pounds, while Cincinnati’s Clark (14-1, 7KOs) came in right at the 154-pound limit.

Opening the telecast, unbeaten Cuban export Frank Sanchez (12-0, 10KOs) collides with Puerto Rico’s Victor Bisball (23-3, 17KOs) in a 10-round heavyweight attraction.

Sanchez, from Las Vegas, Nev. by way of Guantanamo, Cuba, checked in at 224 pounds, while Bisbal tipped the scales at a beefy 274.5 pounds.

I hope Alvarez beats Lara.
