here in aus there are many divisions, but generally you will fight your own belt, or close to it.

As far as i know, in europe, most kyokushin guys dont have Kyokushin competitions, but rather knockdown karate (ie, K K K, conspiracy!?!?!) where they use the same set of rules, in some cases all styles can join(kickboxning and muay thai aswell) or just for the different knockdown karate styles.

i'm sure there different belt divisions like any other comp

usually weight division by 10s...50-60, 60-70 so on, and belt will fight one to up one down...
