Banger alert !!!

Bantamweights Kyler Phillips (9-2) vs Marcelo Rojo (16-7) has been booked for UFC 271 PPV in February 2022.

Phillips dropped a majority decision to Raulian Paiva in his most recent fight this past July. Prior to that, the 26-year-old prospect scored wins against Song Yadong, Cameron Else, and Gabriel Silva inside the octagon.

Rojo seeks his first UFC win and a return to action after seeing three consecutive bookings fall through (two opponents withdrew and a Sept. 4 meeting with Jonathan Martinez was cancelled when Martinez had complications from his weight cut). The 33-year-old Argentinian lost by third-round TKO to Charles Jourdain in his UFC debut in March.

Phillips should take this if he paces himself and doesn't gas quickly like he did vs Paiva.

He could've been fighting O'Malley next if he got it done. That's would've been a fun fight too

I think Phillips & O'Malley are friends so that fight is unlikely to ever happen.

Oh I see. That's why it seems they have the same vibes, mainly fashion wise

Should be back to winning ways for Phillips, who I like - was shocked he lost to Paiva to be fair.

His win against Yadong was a pretty big one that time, and he was on the verge of climbing higher in the top 15 when he was supposed to face Assuncao who got injured and replaced by Paiva. I think he wins this one, though Rojo is a game opponent and can bring the fight to him and turn it wild
