Well that was the ONE area that Diaz had the advantage....WOW great performance by Nate!!

First couple of pages of the thread were not giving our boy a chance? LOL, Nate was flippin those guys off.

Haha, I train with Kurt so it's always expected, Montanha. Nate put it down though. Impressive.

EDIT: I only got to see it once, did Nate catch the triangle on the way down or what?

This is the only sport where us fans can actually get to know and train with these guys. When you are almost living with em and watch how the train and what they do to get ready, not to mention whoopin on every body around em........its hard to imagine them ever loosing.

I did like the one comment how Nate or Nick can make so much with what they've got. We were so used to Dave and Jake being such monsters, then came the unlikely Diaz Bros as skinny teenagers. They just train and train and pull stuff off to our amazement all the time, you think we would get used to it.

Kurt is the shit and I would have picked em to win if I hadnt been around Nate, LOL.

Life is training, keep training!

Didn't Nate submit a 4 stripe BJJ brown belt in his last fight? Nate's the bomb and will pull off the victory.

Congratulations you are the winner. Nate is sic just sic I tell you.

Gracie Fighters!! Awesome job my young friend. We are all so proud of you!

Why did Kurt move into full guard at one moment in the fight, when he was in a stable 100kg?

^ I'm a newb, but I found that REALLY odd (even Rogan mentioned something about it). My guess is that he felt he could tee off better from a frontal position.

These first two pages have alot of crow to eat. I picked Kurt by GnP, apparently I forgot that Diaz's don't ever get knocked out or have an extra layer of bone in their face/head.

is it me or Nate doesn't know class if it was in a shape of a joint? Show boating is one thing, but being classless, i just can't stand.

Kurts win over Alberto Crane is certainly nothing to write home to mom about. Alberto Crane has beautiful Sport BJJ however his MMA ground game is horrific.

Compared to Pellegrino who wagged his finger at Nate attempting a kimura?

I guess the question arises, did Pellegrino make a mistake or is Diaz just the better grappler?

Knowing Pellegrino's grappling record I thought he would have the grappling advantage...

I only watched it once, but from what I recall, finishing the takedown the way he did with an over/under on the legs was a pretty big mistake that shouldn't have been made. If that's not what happened someone who has it on DVR or something explain it, because I'm not 100% sure I have it right.

EDIT: Oh yeah, guillotine I think. Shit was nice.

you are comparing wagging of a finger to flipping two birds on live tv?

why did Pellegrino pick nate up and just kind of fell to his side? it didn't look like nate had anything on him. it looked kind of weird. and it didn't look like kurt was trying to defend the triangle either.

I'd also like some opinions on Pellegrino's seemingly intentional move to guard. Positional advantage for punching?

Great...
Here come the accusations that the fight was a work.

Great job by Nate. He gets better everytime!

It's weird from a grappling perspective, but Pellegrino's move to guard makes it much easier to strike with power from the ground. Personally I would've stayed in side and worked to full, which is even better, but maybe he felt Diaz trying to regain so went into his guard to fuck with him and tee off anyway?

I was surprised the fight ended the way it did (Pellegrino was dominating for awhile) but I even mentioned to my friends that doing the lifting high single would leave him open for the triangle and lo and behold it did.
