They catch a lot of shit, often deservedly so.

Right now though, they are making the news primarily for one reason: Taking a bulldozer to the temple of steroids. Short term this is going to hurt the popularity of the sport, long term it will increase the legitimacy.

Keep fighting the good fight NSAC, I'm behind you.

Pride had it right. Free for all. Humans will always cheat. Might as well make it equally unfair for everybody :)

The handling of the Anderson situation has soured that appreciation. How could they have not got the results before the fight when the test result was known ~3 weeks prior? The random testing is working though, credit for that.

Why did Anderson's Jan 19 test take til today to come out? Sometimes a coincidence is just a coincidence.

And to be honest, as a paying customer, if results come out 4 days before a fight, I don't want a main event cancelled. Show goes on, drop the banhammer afterward.

Getting clean tests back is lower priority.

For the safety of the fighters, to inform them. Nick would have probably still taken the fight I'm 95% sure. If the event was cancelled, I'm sure the UFC would have plenty to think about with the drug testing, better or worse. I still appreciated the event and such but it should be noted.

But thats what people are crying about.

What i am crying about is cancelled fights, whether it be drug tests or injuries.

Guy's bout to beat yur ass in a bar fight do you say "excuse me sir this is unfair as you are 3 weight classes above me and are juicing.

Mma was originally a street fight before it got ruined into a "sport"

all kinds of stupid in this post. Don't even know where to start.

Kudos for keeping the findings to themselves until after the fights?

Dude, if I was Diaz or Burkman I'd sue the shit out of the NSAC... And I'd probably win.

That was NHB not really MMA. Sport or fight it shouldn't be determined by whos testosterone is highest or who can get there hands on better shit.

Handling of the Situation? Only people who looked stupid in this were Anderson's camp and the fans who have been trying to play amateur detective.

Anderson was tested January 9 and the test was released on February 3rd.

Lombard was tested January 3 and the test was released Feb 10.

They can't get the results faster because the time it takes is the time it takes. No one days tracks tests for any sport, there's has to be a bigger reason than just not wanting guys caught. No one had bothered to ask if it involves a less accurate test, if the test would still need the b- sample to run at a slower rate and other things about why they wouldn't pay the $30 to find out and save themselves the embarrassment.

This was an admitted failure and mistake by the NSAC.

Why do medical experts and professionals with experience disagree with you? The NSAC themselves admitted the failure.

Whatever happened to Cung Le's lawsuit?

They knew about Lombard's test for nearly a month and they never told anyone. LOL , no kudos.

UFC had a lot of money in the Anderson fight.

The brain under my tinfoil hat is this: Make money with Anderson fight and bust a semi recognizable big contender after as well. Make it look like they are serious.

I probably would if a massive juice head was about to beat my ass.

Then glass him while he processes the question.
