What are the best high-kick combinations you've seen in the UFC? It seems most fighters only fire the LHK or RHK, not both quickly.
lol, wonder how long before someone goes apeshit over gfycat's filenames... http://giant.gfycat.com/DelightfulMediumBushbaby.gif
smart on Cruikshank's part,if the right leg doesn't get you the left one will! Koch made the mistake of retreating straight back, many fighters including top ones react this way.
Is that an unorthodox type of move to do in an exchange? Koch looked like he was loading up a right hook when the LHK came. He couldn't have thought another kick was coming
The closest I can think of would be Diaz-Condit where, in the fourth round (I believe), Condit stepped up to land the outside low kick he had established all night, before planting his left foot and throwing a high kick off his other leg that only clipped Diaz with the toes but which very well may have dropped him if it had connected more cleanly.
Pretty much. Stuff like that is only really used by TKD, Karate, or some high level kickboxing guys and stuff like Savate as well.ly really used by TKD, Karate, or some high level kickboxing guys and stuff like Savate as well.
I hope Daron keeps winning he's awesome to watch fight. He also doesn't get credit for being explosive and athletic because he's white, but he's really talented physically too.
Speaking of Tekken, when I was a wee lad I used to spam that backflip kick with Forrest Law over and over again. Beat the entire game doing that. When I watched my first UFC event I kept asking the adults why the fighters didn't just "do the flip kick". I was quickly escorted out. It wasn't until a few years later when I started watching MMA for real that I learned that jump kicks are a perfect recipe for getting taken down 99% of the time. Daron and Nate keep my childhood alive.
