I feel like he should stay at welter, but he surely knows better.
I'm glad he's making the jump while he's still relatively young, for the rest is very hard to make a prediction without knowing about his striking level.. surely his Bjj is already shaped to be basic and essential (or at least way more than other modern guards guys), but on the other hand we already know a single art mastery that's not enough to make it at high levels.
Hot on the heels of his familys recent success in mma lol
Kron should watch his relatives fights yesterday before making this decision, especially Rolls Gracie's son :icon_chee
As long as Kron keeps humble, he should be okay. But keeping that same attitude in MMA, he's in for a rude awakening.
Glad to see it, really hope he takes it slow and doesn't jump straight up in comp tom fast.
Which fight was that?
Yes, certainly his distant cousin's performance is relevant to his own likelihood of success, you know, because they have the same last name. Who cares if they've never so much as trained together.
Also I think Kron is older than 25, but I could be wrong. I'd like to see him continue to compete in grappling, he's really fun to watch.
Last night at WSOF. Rolles vs. Mehman.
Hopefully he trains at an actual MMA camp for his fights.
I know people keep comparing him to roger but isn't kron alot younger? He also seems to be alot faster and better cardio.
Not to mention kron is way lighter
I've never heard that comparison, nor do I understand it. They have very different games.

He has been training a bit with Cesar's team.
I hope his father isn't his trainer. It could be disastrous.
Yeah no disrespect to Rickson but the game has changed a lot in the last 13 years since he retired. Kron needs a real MMA trainer who can teach him modern MMA techniques, tactics and strategies.
kron is gangster
Kron can make some noise in MMA with his last name alone. He probably needs to add a lot of skills in his repertoire. I dont mean just striking but MMA grappling. I have no doubt in a grappling match no gi Roger would have ended Tim Kennedy early. In a MMA match it is a different story. Roger's grappling was not adapted well to MMA.
Kron needs to make sure his takedowns are GSP level. Has a very effective top game and finishes the fights when they get to the ground. I think kron before has stated he like to keep his game Jiu Jitsu based not striking based. So I think kron can have a good career in MMA but whether or not he gets to the top of the MMA rankings is a long shot. Though I think he is the best gracie to go for right now and has the best chance.
He could go welterweight but maybe even light weight.
This would be awesome.
well that should be easy.:icon_neut
