Kron Gracie MMA debut in August

If true this will be an interesting test for him. 'Jienotsu' is a really good kickboxer and has a win Vs Aoki in the weird mixed-rules NYE bout a couple of years ago.

I remember watching him on the Joe Rogan podcast, he knda sounded like he wasn't all that interested in training much standup, saying something along the lines of he'd rather rely on his BJJ, which I thought was a worry.

My gym is in his association and my teacher also got the same info a few days back from a guy at Kron's gym. Should be a quick sub though.

I don't think that he, or everyone, who competes in MMA does it to be the best MMA fighter in the world. I think he's just doing it to use his Jiu Jitsu in a fight. If he wins a few, I can see him getting tired of it and not fighting anymore, especially if he doesn't enjoy it.

Last circus match I ever watched.
Aoki got Ko'ed right at the beginning of the mma portion of the fight(2nd round I believe).

It was a horrible fight besides te ko.

btw doesn't he train sometimes with diaz bros? he should be okay.

True. It would be rather unfortunate to see a repeat of something like Woodley-Galvao though... Nagashima isn't a wrestler of Woodley's caliber of course, but still.

Jienotsu's gameplans are sometimes pretty strange so maybe he will grapple with Kron.
