Media Kron Gracie: "BJJ is the biggest foundation for fighting"

Ok, poor baby Kron then. He lost to a guy with 4 straight losses in his 6th fight while "that dumb wrestler Brock Lesnar" fought Mir, Herring, Couture and Mir again in his first 5 fights...yes, 3 former HW champs in his first 5 fights. Imagine if he'd spent his youth learning BJJ instead!

For the record, Kron beat Kawajiri back in 2016, just months after Kawajiri had a very competitive fight in the UFC with Cub...so this was in no way a mismatch and the "super seasoned veteran Cub" narrative only started after Kron lost.

You cant be this stupid. Comparing a 5-0 featherweight in a stacked division to a gigantic physical specimen with elite wrestling fighting smaller fighters in the weakest division in the sport. How many fighters with Brock's experience have been thrown immediately into contention? He's the unique exception that proves the rule. And even then he got submitted in his first fight. You cant seriously believe he went into MMA without training BJJ. You can't be THAT stupid.

Yes. I meant only for one on one encounters. Multiple attackers, bjj is useless, and I'm a black belt in BJJ telling you this.

With multiple attackers you're pretty much screwed. A gun or knife would be much more useful than any martial art in that scenario.

Having a weapon necessarily doesn't improve your chances . Most people who bring a weapon into the conflict actually end up getting assaulted by their own weapon. The stats are actually crazy lol

Your patently absurd statement was exposed and you resort to ad hominems and a continual "you can't be that stupid" refrain? Projection much? I've noticed in the past that you're a low-info, low-intel poster who continually exposes your biases and lack of objectivity. This time is no different.

Yep. This is a HUGE misconception because of MMA. Someone who is an elite wrestler prior to entering MMA may indeed have a better MMA future than an elite BJJ competitor - because both the BJJ and wrestler will be training both wrestling and BJJ, and wrestlers tend to be highly athletic and pick up BJJ faster than the reverse (with some exceptions).

However, if all the guy knows is one art, or knows a little bit but has minimal training (<1 year), the wrestler will get STOMPED by a BJJ player of comparable level - swept/subbed fast. For example a D1 wrestler against a high level black belt competitor (roughly comparable training time/athleticism etc) - the black belt worlds competitor will destroy a typical wrestler in seconds in pretty much any scenario. Or a D1 all-American against a guy vying for the world BJJ title - it may be even more extreme in that situation. That all changes of course if the wrestler has over a year of grappling training - if they approach it with their intense wrestling mind-set they can become a real handful very fast.

I think some people underestimate how good wrestlers really are at wrestling, and how much training and time they put into it. Even high school wrestlers are often close to "black belt" level in wrestling.
yeah. It's also important to note that the rules of MMA are more limit BJJ much more than striking
For e.g. in a ral fight you really should only need one takedown to get the fight to the ground, yet in MMA the fight gets immidiently stood up at the end o

He's also lost his last 4 fights in a row and is WAY past his prime. It's funny how the BJJ/Gracie drones are acting like Cub is a Top 3 FW now that he beat their hero.

No what's funny is all the inbred frat boys who shit on BJJ because they went to a class once and got tapped by a 130 lbs girl

Ask Ben Askren how good BJJ is
