I read that legendary grandmaster mas oyama was a kosen judo black belt. Even though oyama sama was the founder of kyokushin he felt that judo is to rough on the body and that ground fighting is less taxing and thus kosen judo is more ground grappling like bjj.

Curious to know if there are any fighters repping the kosen judo as their main style? I wonder how mas oyama would do in MMA if he fought since he had grappling skills.

Aoki didn’t fight in the UFC, but he is from a Kosen background.

It's not true.
He graduated not former imperial universities but Waseda university.

I said it because he trained extensively with Yuki Nakai, who is 100% from Kosen judo.
Nakai was in the documentary about Rickson and many consider him to be the hero of the tournament, because he weighed 135 lbs.

I didn’t know which college judo team he was on, but thanks for pointing that out.
You’re right, and also by the time he studied with Nakai, Nakai was a black belt in BJJ as well. So Nakai would have been teaching Aoki a very mixed style.
