Korean Zombie Says Yair’s Elbow Was NOT Lucky - It Was Skill

I didn’t cliff the whole video, but KZ mentions he doesn’t like when the word “luck” is applied to mma... that being said, he goes on to say that there is a little luck that goes into every strike that lands in mma..
I tend to agree as far as he trained for it and practiced it. It's also lucky in a way because the odds are very very slim of it landing or even being in a position where it could be thrown without being hit because of the vurneral position he is in when he throws it. Luck isn't necessarily the whole factor as he has trained it, but it definately plays a part in the whole event.

Seems like in the interview KZ basically says what you do. He doesn’t like the word luck in mma, but then follows up to say there is a luck component to landing a strike.

It was skill because it's something he trained. But you still have to be very lucky to land it. Overemphasized by the fact that yair was losing the fight and could only win with a ko or sub and it happened with seconds left that KZ could have just defended. But he instead got lured by yair into putting on a show for the fans, by brawling, when really yair wanted to brawl so he had a shot at a ko knowing he would lose otherwise. It was definately KZ fault, but I honestly dont remember seeing yair throw it on any other occasions or the announcers mentioning him throwing it.
Zombie didn't get lured into a brawl, he didn't know what the scorecards were & wanted to make sure he won the 5th which he was losing. The entire fight was separated by 1.4 strikes landed per round. Zombie would have won yes, but it would have been 48-47, 47-48, & 48-47(if u look at the judges scorecards) which reflects how close of a fight Zombie knew it was.

Idk how the narrative got started that Zombie was winning some blow-out(announcers?), but it's simply not true.

“Luck” is everything in life.

If you don’t fall out of bed and hurt yourself, you are lucky.
If you don’t get in a horrible car wreck on the way to work, you’re lucky.
If you’re pension fund account doesn’t happen to get Ken Layed, you’re lucky.

Everything is lucky. Or unlucky.

So I judge from the 50% chance benchmark.
If you have a winning session at the casino (not poker) you were lucky.
It’s up to each fan to guesstimate whether an outcome would occur more than 50% of the time or not.

War Korean Zombie. How can anyone dislike this guy?

What is there to analyze? He obviously practiced it, or KZ was lying and it is pretty obvious that it was a really low percentage of success being based on the positions both fighters are. The defender has to be exactly in the right position for it to land. The fighter throwing it also has to be in a position that he is very vulnerable in. The baiting kz was pretty evident by his actions and the timing of them. His corner also said he needed a finish to win between rounds. Yair was doing a lot of hugging etc as KZ said in the video. Kz also said he had threw it several times before. I assume KZ is being truthful so..

You're absolutely right there's nothing to analyze since everything you said is in the video

Can't think of anybody that would hate on KZ, such a class act and entertaining fighter. Hope he gets the belt soon
It’s Sherdog (or the internet in general)... even the unhateable is hated...

That's very telling. He knows there is luck, but doesn't like to acknowledge it because it makes someone else feel like shit as well discredits the win. Good guy

I'm still mad KZ lost that fight specially that way, I hope some day they can run that one back so KZ can take that W back

We need more guys like KZ. Beast in the cage, class act outside the cage. Respect
