If you forgotten; Ortega was suppose to fight him in Korea but got injured.

I know Max racked up some title defenses but he just got 50-45'd and I'd rather see KZ get the next title shot 100%

Max/Volkanovski rematch is stupid. Max defended his title twice, and then got handled for the title.

Lawler defended twice and didn't get a rematch with Woodley.
Weidman defended three times and didn't get a rematch with Rockhold.
Benson defended three times, and didn't get a rematch.

Max lost. Not only was it not close, it wasn't even a good fight. No need to run it back.

To be fair he was supposed to but got injured and Bisping filled in for him.

Also Benson had already lost twice to Pettis and won all his title fights by decision, half of which were split decisions. So while he had some defenses he wasn't really a dominant champ necessarily.

But in general I agree, I think immediate rematches for champs are annoying. Should only happen in the case of a draw or a controversial result like a fluke win such as Vitor's over Randy. Most egregious immediate rematch was probably Cody vs TJ, dude had no defenses and got KOed and still got a rematch for some reason despite the fact that the division didn't have a shortage of contenders.

I'm not surprised, Ortega hasn't fought since Max put him on his place.

Also I would love to see KZ cracking Max

Ortega has been sitting around for too long, I'd like to see him fight somebody lower in the rankings. He blew his chance to fight KZ.

I'm not gonna lie, he gets "injured" soon after the fights are announced.

Yeah I don't even think he deserves to fight a contender ranked that high. I like Ortega but the division is full of talent and he should have to fight his way back to a title shot by taking out one or two guys outside the top 10.

Not that I disagree with your point, but Weidman had an immediate rematch with Rockhold scheduled. He pulled out 2 weeks before and Bisping replaced him

I'd rather see kz vs Max instead of having one of them wait on the sidelines for volk's injury to heal.

With Max getting a rematch and Zabit/Ortega being planned that leaves Zombie and Yair to probably rematch. If Max is gonna get the shot they should do Zabit/Zombie and Ortega/yair.

KZ is starting to annoy me. He is too vocal, and should just take the 1 contender, which would be Ortega.
