This is probably the best selling titlefight in the Flyweight division right now. It is what it is. Moreno defending his belt in Mexico would be so cool to see

Not sure if Figuriedo is keen on making 125 lbs. again. Money talks of course.

Usually in trilogies it's even with one win. Fig has zero wins... 0-1-1.

I agree with this. Every cut seems to get worse for him. It feels like his compromised before the fight even starts. He fades quickly but has beastly power for 125. Sadly for him I think 135 is his home.

I gotta agree with Fig not wanting to make that cut again. He seemed pretty happy last night for a guy losing his belt. The most relieved I’ve seen someone after getting choked out.
I mean he was in tears making weight with a minute to go.

Not trolling but did anyone else get REALLY hard during that fight? My gosh, those grappling exchanges had me hot under the collar and even an alpha male like Joe Rogan was speechless at times!

Best fight on the card imo. DEFINITELY looking forward to the trilogy!

Who else would even be in line for the title at fly weight?

Give Joe B his 15th shot fuck it (I guess Askarov then)

Pretty good fight. Askarov taking Moreno down but Moreno holding his own with reversals and such. Askarov was suppose to dominate that fight too and get a title shot probably with one more fight. I'm not all that interested in a trilogy. Moreno mad adjustments and was pretty dominant.

Fig wasn't even competitive in this second fight. Why should he get a 3rd?

Moreno's won me over. He had me tearing up. My new favorite UFC champion.

Interesting. Will watch tonight. Fights going to draws are kinda rare, and Moreno has been part of two already.

    Isn't Benavidez part mexican too?

That's what Figueiredo asked for. His translator said he wanted a fight four months from now, but Figueiredo asked Dana for a rematch, in Portuguese of course.

Yeah and everybody is hating it because they wanted to see Fury/Joshua.
Boxing do a lot of things better than MMA. Matchmaking is not one of them

If Fig wins the third fight, then what ? A forth one back to back ?

doubtful, this 2nd fight wasnt competitive.

Heres what UFC will really do:

Match him up against another Latino fighter and promote the hell out of it in Mexico and Latin America. UFC has been wanting a Mexican champ for a long long time.

When Dana first set out to make mma popular. He had 3 places in mind US/Mexico/UK. Who all had strong boxing markets and talent. So hes always wanted British talented (ever notice how favored Darren is by UFC) and Mexican talent because the Mexican here in states single handedly kept boxing alive by buying ppvs
