just a question about kneepads. what is the difference between the ones that have the opening hole on the kneecap and the one that has no opening? which one would likely suit me better for a hyperextended knee?

From what I have hear, the ones with the hole stay in place better, but I have never worn them. Ask your doctor what he would recommend.

One's with the hole in the knee are generally for keeping the kneecap from sliding about rather than protect against impact.

Yea if your looking to keep your knee from moving then get the open one. If you just need protection from doing alot of shots or something like that (like me) then get one with a gel pad. I use some of the asics and I love them.

yup, I have atleast 3 pairs of asics, all closed padded though. One is a specifically for shooting with a huge circular padding, havent had time to use it though when I train... looks good though.

Always try and go for a tight as fit as u can handle btw

Do remeber that some will shrink...some more than others...but keep that in mind. I got a pair that fit perfect and then after the first wash, no good. Good advice though Foz.

how do u guys wash ur kneepads, in the machine? i usually handwash mine with anti-bacterial soap and hang dry it
