Despite breaking parallel my knees are feeling a tiny bit sore and weak from yesterday's workout. It's the first time since I've started my 5x5 program that the squat weight has been difficult, and so I'm not sure if this is just muscle soreness around my knee or if I'm fucking up my form.

Unforunately I don't have any footage or concerns where my form could be breaking down so I'm appealing to what you guys imagine the problem may be from common experiences.

I'm also wondering if this is just natural in the same way you'd feel muscle soreness elsewhere in the body. Knees are obviously a very important joint and so a part of me thinks I'm just extra worried about injuring myself there.

I didn't have anyone to teach me technique so when I started lifting properly I just watched Rippetoe videos. I think about that video every time I squat.

Yup. Same exact thing here. I even made a comment to (I forget) about squatting on this board and then I realized I was wrong. I thought that you had to keep your back rather straight but having your back slightly in an angle is a normal thing and actually better.
Thanks RIP videos! :icon_chee

Usually a sign the knees are drifting forword and or inward
