Defense/counter to someone trying to stomp your knee via anderson silva teep?

Also how to stay calm when someones rushing at you with elbows / punches?

Distancing.
Make him miss then counter with swift kick.

Also , don't keep weight on the front leg .
Keep a slight bend in the knee , heel raised and be ready to shoot out a teep . ( kinda like in the video games / bad movies but not as dramatic)

Makes that technique ineffective .

Also , if this happening in sparring.........punt his balls across the gym with a swift kick.

1. Move your leg
2. Maturity (fighting maturity)

So basically what I said......thanks for nothing , Samaag.
You know I got copyrights , right ?

Agree. With distancing being most important. Which means footwork, which means not standing stationary in front of the guy. Angle off and counter.

Sorry. I don't always read the replies before offering my own.

: )

I throw this kick constantly in sparring and the most painful way I've had it blocked is bending the knee and lifting the foot off the floor checking it almost kneeing like a strike also if the kick is stronger than you expected then your knee definitely won't get hyperflexed

The funny part about elbow.
Don't back up, same goes with someone backing up on a spinning back fist.
If you give more distance you increase impact.

You actualy have to get closer to minimise impact.
(not saying to just take elbow, explainning a normal reaction that make things worst.

A good counter, rush in, knee to ribs, plexus, belly.

Good counter on a spinning move is to rush in.
Backing up makes it worst.
