International King Charles rumored to extend invitation to Trump/USA to join the Commonwealth

Charles III is your king.

No, we have a Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, he's in charge we don't have a king

Your prime minister is not your head of state. Your head of state is His Majesty King Charles III and your Governor General is his representative.

Nope wrong, Anthony Albanese is large and in charge, we don't have a head of state whatever that is and generals are in the military they have nothing to do with politics

Aussie PMs are toys the monarchs let you have to feel like you're in charge.

Might as well let a Koala bear be your PM.

I’m not 100% certain, but don’t all Commonwealth countries have the King as their sovereign? I know at the very least Canada, Australia and New Zealand do.
The Commonwealth of Nations—formerly the British Commonwealth—is a voluntary association of 56 independent sovereign states, most of which were once part of the British Empire. The Commonwealth's membership includes both republics and monarchies. The Head of the Commonwealth is King Charles III, who also reigns as monarch directly in the 15 member states known as Commonwealth realms since his accession in 2022.

Countries like india and such are still part of the commonwealth. Despitr not being under thr monarchy

Clearly just showing he can take a joke and play it off unlike Canada who got really butthurt.

Associate member of commonwealth just means the US is going to own at the commonwealth games. Upgrading your license if you live in a commonwealth country also gets a bit easier

You changed your country's national anthem to recognize him.

No, I don't think so mate we have a Prime Minister in charge
Yikes mate.

We have a prime minister who leads our goverment yes. But we still under the uk monarchy. We never went republic.

Its why we and nz still have the union jack in our flags still.

Fun fact in the western world for some reason monarchies have a fairer wealthsplit than republics

Might be to do with our politicians know they arent completely untouchable so havent gotten as carried as way as others for as long.

Because we have a governor general who legally has tge power to axe even the prime minister.. granted by the king. Not our constition. Its a odd little power check that has unforseen benifits i think.

Also has power to veto and such..

Its never ever been used .. just hangs above em and i think its helped to keep em a bit more in check lol

We could go republic. Makes zero difference to me though
