I know he was no Ali, but I feel like a piece of my childhood has died with him. I remember before MMA blew up like it did, watching for the first time, the video of Kimbo punching some dudes eye out of his socket in a backyard. Like me and my friends who thought we were fighters used to do. I remember him as being a pretty integral part of my combat sports journey as a youngster.

Really a fighter at heart and at the essence if you think about it. RIP Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson.

Google has multiple fake "Kimbo's dead" stories, the most recent being in May of 2015.
