Kicks Cormier had problems with compared to Mirkos kicks.

Probably wouldn't matter when Mirko would end up on his back in under 30 seconds.

Really? Nelson, Anderson and Mir were all taken down by Cormier. They still got back up eventually and landed good shots on him.

Yeah but Cormier was a lot more comfortable exchanging with them as they are all pretty well rounded. Cro Cop was pretty hopeless on the ground and terrifying standing, especially in his Pride days. I would be surprised if Cormier wouldn't just take him down and smash him up.

Mirko wasnt hopeless from his back. What are you even talking about. After bringing Werdum into his camp in 2002, Mirko had a very good defensive guard by the time he fought Fedor in 2005. If anything his defense looked good and even had Fedor somewhat frustrated because he was able to smash everyone from the top but didnt have such an easy time on top of Mirko. Mirko wasnt worse from his back than Roy Nelson in terms of tying up and getting back to his feet.

2006 Mirko vs Cormier would be a great match.

In a ring Cormier would be toast, but DC would find a way to win in the cage. Puts him on the cage wall, takes him down and roughs him up on the mat.

Yes Mirko's legs and solid TDD would prove a tough match for Cormier.
