That’s part of the point of my post. They do not know what they are doing. Only an idiot thinks their job is to pick winners, their job is to provide odds. Unfortunately they market themselves entirely based on their success. Their value would be nothing if they did otherwise. And they are statistically worthless. So unless your point is that oddsmakers exist for the purpose of misleading people into making the wrong choices, it’s hard to see how they know what they’re doing. This isn’t my opinion, there’s tons of data to support the idea that talking heads are no better than a coin flip. The data extends to economists and folks on Wall Street.Oddsmakers know what they're doing.
