Always thought he still has potential. Good luck with whatever he does next.

Yeah weird announcement, he is still young and has some good skill, he has only been fighting mma for 5 years, he may have some injuries.

Khalil was a good story- shame he hadnt started much sooner than he did. Hes a UFC level fighter and had evolved to that point in a rather short timeframe. He seems to be a good guy - wish him luck whatever hes doing next.

and this is why the shallow divisions stay shallow. nearly all the up and comers give up or rather work normal jobs.

"One last time" refers to him having his retirement fight vs Alvey.

Sad news for the fans. He was super fun to watch.

As a fan I hope he moves to kickboxing or muay thai. He seems really enjoy being in Thailand and he is really talented.

As always, I wish him the best in his future endeavors.

In a weird way, he reminds me of myself - practiced almost exclusively striking, I was very late to the game when it came to wrestling and BJJ. And as TS mentioned, the MMA world will pass you up in a hurry. There are teenagers with legit grappling skills. At least he has a backup plan and his young.

Plus he got to bang Veronica during this whole time which is reason enough to start MMA.

He is an extremely good striker so this would be a good move for him imo. I'm sure his phsysicality would help him a lot as well.

I would retire too if I was dumped by the goddess Macedo.

why, no shame losing to that moldavian guy. Khalil looked like a killer prior to that. If he just wants to improve his grapole and jiu a little bit, he could be insane. Retiring from ufc to keep getting hit for even less money looks like l stupid plan

It's so crazy how kickboxing doesn't carry over that well to MMA in most cases. I wonder how much that has to do with the cage size and glove size differences.
