Seriously had everything a fight fan could ask for:

    1. A brutal spectacular knockdown

    2. Remarkable recovery

    3. Fluid chain grappling

    4. Multiple shifts in momentum

    5. Gutsy power exchanges

    6. Hard fought until the final bell

This round is a brilliant, action packed display of MMA brilliance, and it deserves more recognition.

Yeah, I remember it being pretty fun.

I have Brown/Silva round 1 over it though.

just rewatched it. awesome round, for sure. that knockdown was a thing of beauty and Jorge toughed it out like he usually does. I did think khabilov should've put in those hooks; he had many opportunities (especially when Jorge was fucked up). but he knows his own strengths and he's not a bjj fighter.

Yeah that was a good round, I had the fight even going into the 5th round. That kick really sealed the win for Khabliov.

I think Khabliov really surprised jorge and everyone watching with his striking.

Glad its not only me who remembers it as one of the best rounds. That fight overall was so level until Khabilov slipped in that fantastic kick out of nowhere. Amazing.

And Jorge has killer takedown defense. Perhaps the best in Business.

Yeah, Jorge is a beast at defending the takedowns. I thought he won that fight as well. I was surprised it wasn't a split decision.

Not bad from backyard fights showcased on youtube to fighting for the UFC. Not bad at all.

It was clearly Khabilov's fight. Only close round was the second.

That wasn't Khabilov. Your idiocy has long since been debunked.

Masvidal is top 10 IMO. He's definitely better than people like Donald Cerrone and Jim Miller. I'd go as far as to say he's better than Nate and RDA as well.

Masvidal was competitive against Melendez. This is a huge win for Rustam and shows that fighting Benson isn't as big of a step up as people think. Masvidal is a tougher matchup for Rustam than Benson IMO. Masvidal's TDD is way better, which means I think Rustam will impose his grappling in an easier fashion against Bendo.

I gaved him the 1st and 2nd round if I remember correctly. Just my opinion though.

    Time to for bed.

I read the thread title as "Khabib vs Masdival Rd 3 ROTY!". I started scrolling past the comments and the guy that said that fight happened in 2013 totally tripped me out because I went to the 4-19-2014 "Werdum vs Browne" event. Both Khabib (vs dos Anjos) and Masdival (vs Healy) fought in that card. Took me a minute to realize it was Khabilov not Khabib.

I like Khabib and Masvidal and would hate to see them fight each other. It was a pleasure watching them live. Masvidal's striking was on point, he gave Healy a beating. Khabib is a beast, he never stops moving forward. Even in the 3rd round he threw dos Anjos with ease.

Masvidals TDD was beastly that fight. Rustam didn't come close to suplexing him. Hoping for a quick Gamebred disposal of Cruickshank and maybe a top 10 fight.
