Before UFC 254 Khabib said Dustin was the next deserving contender (after Gaethje), and if anyone wants a TS they need to beat Dustin first.

....shortly after this Conor started calling out Dustin...but at 170.

Then Khabib said it wasn't a legit contenders fight if they fight at 170.

....shortly after this Dana and Conor said it'll be at 155.

Then Khabib announces retirement after beating Gaethje

....shortly after this the Dustin vs Conor fight is now uncertain to even happen.

This proves Conor's desperation to get a rematch with Khabib. Virtually all of his next-fight decisions are solely based on what Khabib demanded.

Remember when sherdoggers said Conor called the shots more than Khabib

Conor is a competitor and wants to avenge his loss. It's understandable.

They guy raised holy hell to get a rematch with Nate.

McGregor might sell his next child to get LW belt back and call out Khabib and say he's scared.

I just hope the Poirer fight happens. The Diamond crushes Conor in a rematch at 155, in a fight that has foty war written all over it.

I wouldn't count Conor out just yet. I think Conor takes this to be honest

Poirier had nothing for Conor in the first fight. You think adding 10+ pounds will make a difference? The first fight had nothing to do with weight and skill was the deciding factor.

Maybe Conors past his prime and not hungry anymore and Dustin beats him somehow but I doubt it, we’ve seen Conor beat him easily and decisively while being even better now.

Yeah he beat him easily what 6 years ago? He's improved so much since then. I dont know who will win but I don't expect it to be a blowout for whoever does.

Poirer has had 14 fights since their last foray and has come into his own at 155 it is obvious that it is a weight class that suits him perfectly. He has shown depths to his game that weren’t seen while he was at 145 and his striking (which is where this fight likely takes place) has improved leaps and bounds the past 6 years. The Diamond has improved dramatically whereas Conor has only competed 2x at LW and battled against alcoholism and the comfort that fame and riches provide. Poirer has stayed active and hungry, he gets the edge in my book.

Khabib runs UFC. It is known. Conor will do as told.

    Khabib bless.

Its not the weight (even if it was a factor then), its the fact that Dustin got better since, fight should be way more competitive now.

You think he isn’t coming back??

originally I thought khabib would be true to his word and stay retired and be noble unlike conor, but now I have a feeling khabib will return and not uphold his mother’s wishes.

The most telling thing he actually said after the Justin fight, which I haven't once seen mentioned here, is that the UFC championship goal was his father's (what a shock), and not his own.

He'll come back if he and his mother decide to, but he's not wasting his time fighting Conor like contards insisted he would.

    <mma4>

I only watched this live once and never again. Is it on the yt channel??

But if he comes back, I can no longer respect him for this pseudo overrun retirement. If he comes back I can no longer respect him and he will just be a phoney to me and I assume a lot of other mma fans, since we don’t think of khabib as a diva.
