I'm not gonna even go into the list of things Conor has done in and out of the cage. After a night at the bar last night talking to various people...it's very apparent that everyone is very biased towards Conor and that this whole incident proves how much of a jerk Khabib is. No one said anything about Conor, but everyone kept going on about how Khabib held the choke for too long and that is grounds for disqualification, and about how Khabib jumped into a crowd attacking people unprovoked, how his teammates attacked a fighter that just lost....

It puts things a bit in perspective. Conor definitely was no victim, and Khabib was not unprovoked.
Khabib was like a can of soda where Conor kept shaking it back and forth, and when it explodes, everyone gets mad at the can of soda. Conor is groundbreaking...not because of him fighting well against midgets.....but because he attacks people verbally and on a very deep personal level, something that no other fighter does to that level. Khabib warned a few times about trashing his culture, and he also already said that it's personal......and Conor keeps stirring that pot up...smacking his hand during weigh-ins, laughing about his family's safety....
But this is what I see.... Khabib absolutely broke important rules, laws and policy. He acted unprofessionally...but unreasonably? Maybe not. People choose who they look away from when they do something legally wrong.
A dad illegally attacks and mauls a man in court for hurting or murdering his kids...I think we can all agree we can look the other way without guilt. Hackers hacked Ashley Madison site...yes we kind of look away because technically it was illegal but hey...they were cheaters.... A famous hitman for the mob....yea he killed a bunch of people,...but they were all bad and he's so damn likeable...that's ok...he'll be punished...but hey...he's a cool guy....
Conor did a lot of bad stuff...did he get punished legally? yes...but how does the world treat him? like he's just an international treasure.
Khabib came and did exactly what he said he would do. Beat him, talk him down...because as he warned before...this is now made very personal. A brawl breaks out and he's in the wrong. And here it is...everyone treats him like an asshole. He left the stadium with people throwing drinks at him....
This is where I am a little lost. Everyone did bad stuff. Some much moreso than others...but people choose with whom they kind of look the other way and would be happy with just a slap on the wrist and a smile. Conor is definitely this...because his personality strikes such a chord with the population. It doesn't matter what he does or how wrong he is in anything because humanity is incredibly biased (which is why Justice should always be blind). There is something about him that hit the right frequency with the population...it doesn't matter who he fights... I just don't understand his supposed Charisma like his legions of fans do, but now... I'm just sounding like I'm talking to a girl about her badboy boyfriend.
