khabib vs poirier could be next

His striking has gotten shockingly good, not sure about his grappling tho.
 
It's very likely it happens now.
I can't see Conor taking it after what will be 2 years out of the cage by the time they'd fight.
 
I don't see Poirier posing much of a threat to Khabib. I don't think he is gonna enough to keep it standing.
 
He deserves it more than any other LW (assuming Tony is still out)

I think Poirier gets wrestlefucked personally
 
Nah, not next. The're Tony F, Conor first in line to face Khabib then Alvarez. After those 3 (if Khabib is undefeated) then the rest can be considered.
 
Only if Conor fails his first defense in court.
 
Gaethje is probably one of Khabibs biggest threats, but his chin is taking so much damage man, seems to be on the decline sadly.

conor wont fight khabib and tony might be out for a while. id say poirer, eddie, or kevin lee if he can beat barboza could end up fighting khabib later in the year. id say poirer out of the bunch since he has the longest streak going
 
He'll get matched up with the winner of Lee/Barboza (which will be Lee) and lose IMO.

Lee is ranked 7 and lost to Tony... Lee will not get a straight title shot if he wins against Barboza he needs more wins. Poirier deserves it much much more.
 
Wow that was insane. And yes poirier deserves a title shot. I say him vs tony when theyre both healed since the ufc is obviously gonna want khabib vs conor after that shit show last weekend.
