It's depressing that MMA has been around for 30 years yet some of you still don't understand a mediocre wrestler cannot win against a great wrestler, let alone the greatest wrestler in MMA history. It's just not possible.

4'3", 95 lbs Chad Mendes with no training camp took Conor down in 10 seconds and beat him up for 2 rounds until he ran out of gas. Khabib will take him down in 5 seconds and he won't get up.

How the hell is Conor supposed to win? By knocking Khabib out? He has exactly 5 seconds to do so or he's fucked. Besides, what if Khabib just does this (for 5 seconds)?

Conor has even less chance of beating Khabib in MMA than he has of beating Floyd in boxing. The fight will look like Couture vs Toney and shouldn't even be sanctioned.

No, it definitely won't.

I do think Khabib will win this, but comparing Conor to fat James Toney making his MMA debut is just fucking stupid.

Yeah, it might be a bit unfair to Khabib. At least Toney actually knew how to box and Khabib isn't 50 years old like Randy. Maybe Mickey Gall vs CM Punk would be a more accurate comparison?
 
The couture-Toney fight is one of the dumbest things that's ever happened

Toney didn't even know how to get up. Like, he didn't even train getups. he just thought he would throw an uppercut and KO randy.

Conor might be a specialist, but he is still a mixed martial artist.
 
Khabib winning is the most likely scenario, but that's why they fight. Conor has defied expectations before, that's his whole thing. We'll see if he can do it again.

If Khabib creates unnecessary distance, and enters Conor's punching range for any reason he'll be in trouble. Khabib has taken shots from guys with less knockout prowess than Conor. 21 wins, 18 by knockout should be respected.

What a terrible analogy! Conor's boxing is way better than Khabib's and he has proven KO power. I feel Conor only wins by finish but this is more of a 50/50 coin flip fight.
