REALLY that dominant. I’d heard about the fight up until yesterday and it was nowhere near as masterful as everyone seemed to be saying. Commentary was horrendous nutsack in mouth for Rogan, Anik and Cruz. Did WME put a little bag of gold in front of them to just pump him up at all costs? Khabib is clumsily chasing Edson around taking hard kicks and eveeeeentually getting weak looking takedowns, and the only truly devastating G and P was in round one. And Cruz says something like “all those strikes are significant cause they’re groundstrikes” uhhh no buddy. Baby hammerfists that are used to get your opponent to move are not significant. Rogan: ‘they should just stop this fight!” Inbetween rds. Lol EB had superficial damage to his face and was defending well the whole time, and looked dangerous and fast on the feet right til the end. Khabib took far more body and leg damage and didn’t even have EB down by the end of round 3. Fight should have been score (30-27) x 3. Rogan in the interview: “you are the most dangerous person alive!” C’mon this is Lightweight! Lol

I think that’s what you call an unpopular opinion.

Domination to me is stopping the guy...Khabib never stopped edson...so exactly how was it such a dominant fight...Edson isn't even a wrestler, yet he was able to stay on his feet and fight off the takedowns fairly well...I'm predicting right now, that Tony will stop this fool...saying it now.

It was really dominant. But Edson was done due to exhaustion and not damage.

So you don’t think Cain dominated JDS? Decision (50–45, 50–43, 50–44)

It was a one sided beat down but I agree it wasn’t “throw in the towel” type shit like a few people have suggested. I think it’s more mentally people have trouble processing someone being pinned up against a cage and smashed with no option of escaping, which really is kind of a shitty position to be in but Barboza took it like a real pro.

Also, Barboza appears to have great take down defense. It’s tough to shoot on a guy that fast with KO power. One wrong move, catch a knee to the face. It’s risky shooting on him

Excellent reference I was about to mention that as well.

Dominating a fight doesn’t always mean getting a finish. Cain vs JDS 2, Stipe vs Francis those are prime examples.

Back to this fight it was never really close.

The first minute of round 1 Barboza really did the smart thing with chopping at Khabib with his inside low kick while crossing distance and circling away to evade Khabib’s pressure as best as he could.

Once Khabib managed to cut that distance with constant pressure it was a wrap and Barboza had no significant success at all after that. Dominant performance.

I 100% agree with this.

Lord McGregor seems to share the same opinion. He called the performance "dogshit" (I wouldn't go that far, but that's Conor for you) and said all he saw were holes in Khabib that he'd be able to exploit. And exploit them he will, provided Khabib can get past Tony first.

As for me, it was definitely a dominating performance on the scorecards, but people still overrate the overall damage that Khabib did. They also harp way too much on how much superior Khabib's cardio was - Truth is, they looked about even in terms of endurance heading into the final round. Neither were completely exhausted, but both a little spent and breathing with their mouths wide open, moving at about the same speed, too.

Lol seriously, it looked like Maia vs Masvidal

That wasn't dominate either. Maia held him on ground like a higher belt should. Jorge coulda ended that fight if not for shit IQ jumping back to the ground.

Nobody should read such a shitty wall of text.

Go back to school, retard.

<3>

Paragraphs, motherfucker!

That was domination. Khabib didnt nearly domuch dmg ......crazy how u would bring that up .

They person said in order to dominate you have to stop the other fighter.

Come on, TS, I agree with you, a fair amount of weak-hand jabs while holding your opponent to the ground doesn't add much to me.

Yet, please, don't write your stuff in a big chunk of text, that's painful to even look at.
