It's not just the NSAC that Khabib has to worry about. Potentially his US Visa could be in question and having the UFC on his side would be an advantage. A huge rematch would definitely make the UFC argue that he should get the Visa again.

Khabib doesn't have that type of leverage. The reality is Conor has more beatable opponents to make him champion again, scuttling Khabib wouldn't be something they are necessarily opposed to.
