I agree, GSP should still be no1, but the UFC won't let him comeback. They are scared he steal another title. How can we blame them ?

Khabib deserves the number spot over the roidhead that keeps having controversial decisions.

In that way every one lost to someone. Khabib lost to Tibau, GSP lost to Bigg Pigg.

    - khabib never lost to tibau, running away for 15 minutes without striking offense is not winning. One of the few fight where octagon control is actually relevant ( no significant striking or ground control whatsoever )

    - GSP's fight was close, but it is the only really close decision of GSP's career, unlike Jones who seems used to that now.

I wouldn't complain about jones being #1, but P4P isn't strictly based on winning or losing, as the divisional rankings are, but also how dominant you are and how you win. So no problem with Khabib #1, imo.

Jones disqualified from all discussion due to steroid abuse. Khabibs record is padded with wins over bloated featherweights. He needs to move up like conrad to get any goatness. oh and beat tony. which he wont. so no. The real p4p is might mouse as he never lost to cejudo.

Khabib was outstruck in that fight as well. It was a shit decision no matter which way you try and cut it.

If one fighter wants the fight on the ground and the other wants it on the feet, and the fight stays on the feet, the fighter who wanted it on the feet has the better octagon control.

Khabib is still number 1 although Makhachev is knocking on the door

    Jones is only #1 P4P with a huge *
Khabib is clean, no PEDs, no pokes, no drugs, never stripped.

I do 100% agree with this tho:
"The real no 1 p4p will be the winner of tony vs khabib."

Yes Khabib won that shit. Bot 30-27 more like 29-28 but he won it. He even bust open tibau with strikes.

I disagree, octagon control is your position in the octagon, either taking the center or pressured against the cage. You don't win point in defending takedowns, it is like saying you win points if you block punches, it is dumb.

Tibau went for takedowns in that fight and couldn't keep Khabib on the ground. Tibau's also a wrestler, he's not a striker lol.

Both guys wanted to outgrapple each other, they couldn't, therefore octagon control and general aggression became relevant.

If the center is where you want to be then you are indeed in control if you get it there. If you want it on the ground, but you get denied you are obviously not in control. And the guy denying you is more in control. It doesn't score points, but it does define who is in control and who is not.

Control means being able to do what you want to do. Khabib very clearly wasn't able to do what he wanted to. Tibau wanted to defend and he clearly was able to. He also wanted to take Khabib down, he was also able to do that.

Grapplers can want to stand and bang too, bud. This isn't ufc 1 anymore.

Yeah, we were talking about octagon control already.
