I could see why he would think that. Islam is his boy and Dariush is on a impressive win streak. Dariush/Gaethje would be a tough fight to predict. LW is a shark tank

Dariush is kinda weird to me.
I'm still not sure what he's exactly elite at aside from i think his BJJ.

Maybe there's something i missed though, but i somehow remember him as a good submission grappler with a bit goofy looking striking.

He's got the BJJ, but he's also tough as fuck and has KO power. His striking is a bit untidy but it's effective, he's worked with Cordeiro for years at this point, so I think there's more science behind the way he throws than it looks like there is.

He's already padding Islams career so if he beat Dariush he gets the title shot. Beneil has a win against washed up Tony, struggled with Ferreira. I'm not confident Beneil beats Chandler.
 
Khabib quotation threads remind me of Kardashian yahoo stories. The people that made them post them because they KNOW they get the traffic but the majority of comments in both are “why is this being talked about??”

Chicken and egg. It is being talked about because you keep clicking/talking to pose questions about why anyone is talking about it.

At least in Kardashian stories no one blames her for being in the story. Khabib instead takes heat for giving interviews as a fight promoter lol.

He’s not very self aware it seems. I know he probably thinks “these guys are from my team, of course I am going to be hyperbolic in my praises” but in reality we all felt like Khabib belonged to MMA as a whole, to all fans, not just any particular group. No one wants to see him being divisive all the time.
 
Khabib says Dariush is top 2 LW on the planet, Hooker says Dariush is technically the best fighter in LW division, but nah Sherdoggers know much more than elite fighters.

He lacks a "it" factor imo just like Chiesa.
Good but nothing that will make you say he's champ material.
I don't think he's good enough to overcome a hard stylistic match up imo.
