Trujillo - 4 time NAIA all American, got taken down 23 times in 3 rounds
Healy - NCAA D2 All American
Tavares - 3rd Degree BJJ black belt
RDA - 3rd Degree BJJ black belt and great mma wrestler (took down Colby with ease)
MJ - One of the top NJCAA wrestlers in the country, great TDD stats (82%+ before the Khabib fight)
Barboza - One of the best TDD stats at lw (86%+ before Khabib fight)
Iaquinta - Great college wrestler, 86%+ TDD, stuffed 7/8 Kevin Lee takedowns, great jiu jitsu (leglocks)

Credentials wise, Conor is easily the worst grappler Khabib has faced. You can argue he has better BJJ than MJ or Barboza, but MJ is a much better wrestler and Barboza has much better TDD.

I think Khabib would outstrike Marcus Brimage and Diego Brandao, about equal with Chad Mendes.

Elite wrestlers plural? He's only faced one elite wrestler and he didn't come anywhere close to stopping that guy's wrestling attacks. It was so bad he was looking at the ref to force a stand-up.

You better not be referring to Eddie Alvarez's high school wrestling as elite. He's a sloppy brawler that got rocked several times trying to strike with Conor.

Chad Mendes has very good boxing for a wrestler..... if I recall correctly. Wouldn't say that about Khabib

Chad Mendes went 4/7, Conor stood up from 3, while the first round ended before he could on the fourth. Chad had mild success at best and Conor beat it easily.

That's not to say anything about what will happen in the Khabib fight, but it's funny that people say conor's grappling sucks. All the numbers and results say different.

Stop being lazy and watch the fight. Khabib got stunned a couple of times and was being hit at will. Fortunaly for him, he seems to have a great chin and zombie-like endurance.

Conor is a very underrated grappler. Obviously he isn't on Khabib's level, but I think if people are expecting Khabib to cut right through him they're going to be in for a surprise. Once Conor gasses in the 2 or 3rd though, Khabib will run over him. That is, if he doesn't leap into a counter left anyways.

4/7 is good at defending the takedown? That's pretty damn good lmao, Khabib just needs one takedown to smash you.

It's not terrible, especially when you consider Conor stood up from all of them aside from the end of the first when the bell rang

But like I said in that post, that isn't to say anything about a Khabib match up

Not only that 80% number is complete BS, but also half of those examples you just gave are NOT classic striker vs. grappler match ups.

Classic striker vs. grappler match ups are fights where one side is a pure striker with poor grappling, and the other side is a pure grappler with poor striking.

Aldo is not a pure striker (Way too many TDD and BJJ tools)

Mendes is not a pure grappler (Spent majority of his UFC fights trying to box the opposition)

Eddie is not a pure grappler (Same as Mendes)

Holm is not a pure striker (He shrugged off everything Ronda had to offer in grappling, so how can it be striker vs. grappler?)

Edgar is not a pure grappler (Same as Mendes)

Cruz is not a pure striker (Same as Aldo and he uses offensive wrestling as well)

Woodley is not a pure striker (wtf?)

Like seriously how dumb do you have to be to consider Aldo vs. Edgar a "classic striker vs. grappler" match up

It's 2018 not 94 nobody is a pure grappler or pure striker
Those fights are valid examples and if you think not then good luck in life
