Fedor in his purime was the most effective by a good margin. He just has a lot of past purime fights affected his stats

he was statistically the least hit fighter during his purime. His sturikes absorbed per minute were lower than purime Anderson, Lyoto, Cruz etc. and offensively he was obviously destroying too

To be fair, i don't know Fedor's numbers and he might have been, but the fact that he *also* fought subpar competition between his harder opponents, most certainly helped him inflate these stats a bit.

Thats true. He did fight cans throughout (only about 5-6 true cans) but even against top fighters he was barely hit. Past his best against Arlovski on the best run of his career ppl were pretending he was getting hit and in the slow mo he was avoiding damn near everything

Cro Cop at the peak of his powers was 10/48 on significant sturikes (20%) and he showed masterful defense slipping a dozen punches like left straights at least that were folding guys in peak K-1 and MMA and specially his defense for the leg, body, high kicks, catching, countering etc. off them were the best defensive performance Ive seen in MMA defense against prolly the best overall kicker in MMA history

Khabib is the most elite MMA striker there is. His striking is better for MMA than the striking style karate and kickboxers have. It's functional on the ground and compliments his takedown offense perfectly.

Can't help but shake my head when people downplay his striking because it doesn't look pretty like a textbook kickboxer.

It is a fact. People talk about how he's only good at standup because of the thread of a takedown. This is MMA standup though, not boxing. Threat of takedowns factor into how good someone is at striking in MMA.
