I wouldn't be surprised if Khabib regards Ali with some level of contempt. Ali is obviously a compulsive liar and a really shady opportunist. Khabib might regard him as a distasteful yet necessary person to associate himself with.

He was a beta in the situation on your picture. A natural elite WW bringing all his 10 buddies to surround and intimidate one low level FW was extremely beta. A really weak move. But not uncommon for people like him ..
