People can do all of the biased armchair analysis they want....but the truth is, GSP gets his face smashed in by Khabib. Khabib will close the distance within the first 60 seconds of the fight, and once the grappling exchange starts, it's goodnight for Georges, and I'm sure he knows that.

GSP will duck Khabib just as hard as he ducked Silva, mark my words. He will NEVER take a fight against Khabib, and will continue cherry picking the one eyed, over-the-hill Bispings of the UFC.

GSP's takedowns are about timing and a powerful shot. Khabib is a chain wrestler who isn't great at timing shots or closing the distance, but if he does get ahold of someone they're in worse shape than they would be with GSP. Also Khabib's GNP is much much more vicious than GSP's. And GSP, while conservative and jab-reliant on the feet, still has many more tools, both offensively and defensively, than Khabib.

So no I don't think they're that similar. Yeah they're both all about them jabs and takedowns, but beyond that, the comparison falls apart.

GSP wasn't as active as Khabib on the ground and wouldn't take chances even when given to him it was kind of like Tim Sylvia once he won the belt back. Khabib is more like a more vicious Matt Hughes or atleast more well rounded.
