Most of us never heard of Horcher before, we just know that he's 12-1 with some nice KOs.

Khabib "should" win this without trouble, but crazy upsets happen frequently following a late replacement. Especially when the guy has KO power.
 
I'm not worried.

I will be devastated if this is the guy to give him his first loss though, lol... Fuck, just the idea of it...
 
Not worried at all.. I have never been this convinced this is Khabib's time. the opponent is standing on the wrong lane.

Khabib is a beast, but he's been through some shit over the last few years. Hopefully his head is in the right place. If it is, I think he'll take this via UD or TKO.
 
TS isn't wrong though, I'm calling bullshit on anyone claiming to have followed Horcher's stuff

what are these crazy upsets frequently following late replacements?

conor vs diaz, diaz wins and thats not a crazy upset
conor vs mendes, conor wins and thats not a crazy upset
tj vs joe soto, tj finishes him

those are the somewhat recent late replacements i remember. Remind me of the crazy upset ones
 
Dunno if youve seen his open workouts but he looks amazing. Wouldnt be surprised to see a finish

Here are some I can think of:

- Benji Radach vs. Danny Lafever (GOAT example)
- TJ vs Barao
- Moose vs Hall
- Weidman vs Maia
- Story vs. Brenneman (at the time this was big, Story could have got a title shot after that)

Not sure if they were late raplacements, but when unknown fighters uspet an elite fighter:

- JDS vs. Werdum
- Paulo Thiago vs. Koscehck
- Soko vs. Nog
 
I'm not worried, but I do expect the majority of people to shit on khabib if he doesn't starch this guy within like, last week.
 
As a Khabib fan I'm not particularly worried. But after checking out Horcher's stuff...he looks better than I was expecting. *gulp*
 
If Khabib really is the guy who could easily beat the champ dominate the division for the next few years, there should be no way he loses to some prospect.

Who is also 22-0 and 6-0 in the UFC! Remember!
 
At the end of the day if you're elite, you have to show you're elite.

Khabib has to go in there and completely smash him. Reminds me of when Anderson fought Bonnar. This fight cant be close, but then again styles makes fights. TJ didn't look that great against Soto but he is elite.
 
Long lay off. Unknown opponent. High expectations. Horcher has nothing to lose.

I'd be at least a little worried as a Khabib fan. High risk low reward situation for him.
