Who TF has outwrestled Khabib?

Compare how many rounds-won to rounds lost.

How many gold medals in combat sambo / jiu-jitsu has Jones won?

How many people HIS ACTUAL SIZE has Jones faced? (Exactly two ... and he almost lost to both.)

Jones is way over-rated, whereas Khabib is way under-appreciated ...

Khabib has been more absolutely dominant in his division (1 round lost in his entire career) than anyone in UFC history.

Top guys have always been paid really well. GSP earned something like $5 million for a fight before and I don't ever recall Hughes or Liddel complaining about pay.

Its most of the roster that could be paid better. Not saying everyone signed by the UFC should be able to quit their day job, especially given the kind of scrubs the UFC signs nowadays, but I think the sport would be better off if it was easier to make a living in the sport.

You have to look at winning percentage against the quality of competition to term value, not just winning percentage in isolation.

Both GSP and Jones very clearly have superior resumes to Khabib in terms of combining winning with quality of opposition.

That's not to say Khabib isn't awesome, or couldn't get there in the future. He's the man.

But he just doesn't have the richness in resume that the Rushmore guys (and a few others) have circa 2020. Not yet.

Criticizing GSP and Jones's average strength-of-schedule while elevating Khabib's is simply silly. We don't need to degrade other fighters with silly things to show support for a great fighter we like and admire.

No one is degrading the other fighters, just not elevating them to mythical status over HOF.

Many of them couldn't compete in today's climate.

For example, turn-of-the-century fighter, Bob Fitzsimmons, is in "the Boxing Hall of Fame" ... winning middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight titles ... but that doesn't mean he could be today's Top 20 contenders in either division.
