Bianca Andreescu is a Canadian tennis player who's currently one of the top ranked players in the world. She won the US Open last year.

This is an international list.

You might not know or care who she is, but she's a household name here in Canada is a popular in other countries where tennis is a big sport.

Not popular to the point of being the #5 most marketable athlete in the world, that doesn't make any sense.

There are audit companies who assess SM numbers, I checked Khabib's once it basically said 84% of his followers were real. Which, as you pointed out kills the 'bot' narrative that his haters like to spit.

Maybe they're popular in the UK and some parts of Europe but not in other parts of the world?

I think Heavyweight boxing has been overshadowed by the legacy and dominance of Ali and Tyson that it's hard for new stars to gain popularity in modern days.
