I don't see him winning the standup against the taller, longer, Holloway, I'm thinking if he wins this fight he is going to have to grapple like never before. What say you guys?

He must go right at Max and never give him a break. Straight stepping punches to the head and body.

Frank has to be fast in the standing scrambles and find his openings inside.

He has to try to make Max turtle up. Then the subs might open for him if it goes to the ground later in the fight.

He will have to be his perfect best. Max is so dangerous.

Holloway is not more dangerous than Prime BJ, Prime Maynard, or Prime Bendo.

He doesn't have the takedown defense of a Prime Aldo either.

The style match up suits him well, so he pretty much just needs to do what he always does. That said, if Max can stuff the takedowns, then Frankie better adapt and do his best to make Max respect his striking and then try different entries on his takedowns. He needs relentless pressure, but not recklessness; He needs to earn Max's respect in at least one domain—grappling or striking—in order to get the other domain working.

In the striking department, Max's lead leg is there to be kicked all day, I know frankie isn't the hardest leg kicker, but even so, 10-20 or even more leg kicks from anyone will slow someone down a bit.

It's going to be interesting to see who pressures who in this fight.

Prime Edgar beat him easily. The present Edgar? I am not sure

So turn it into a brawl? Might not be a bad idea. Use plenty of elbows and dirty boxing inside and in the clinch.

Keys to victory for Frankie.

Fight someone else.

I think Frankie takes him into the deep waters of a five round war and drowns him. Max gonna wilt under the Answer.
Either a late finish of like 48-47.

This is my biggest concern as a Frankie fan. I just worry he may be just on the other side of his peak while Max is on the highest point in his career trajectory.

Do what he does best which is use his boxing, use his good movement and use his wrestling. Stick and move, stick and move.

outpoint max boring boring decision and become the champ its only key i see since frankie has good cardio.

I'm interested to see this one play out.

Max won't have any reason to start slow in this one. He won't be waiting for Edgar to slow like he did Aldo.

I feel this will end in a very close decision. Both men do better as the fight goes on both in cardio/endurance and they time their opponents better and better as they get a feel for them.

Hoping for a war that Holloway vs Aldo and Edgar vs Mendes never were.

wrestle, ground and pound, stay out of subs. frankie wins this fight no doubt in my mind and im a max fan

Head to chest and work the body. He has to use his footwork to get inside. Max is durable so Frank has to go full throttle non stop. Which he can do.
