Sambo has so many effective techniques that I have never seen anywhere else.

Yes, it exists in bjj, and you won't be catching it on anyone possessing a semblance of posture and arm positioning. I've only seen it work when applied on white belts who were smaller than the person applying it. You use the free arm to push his bent elbow over your head while posturing up and back. Most people I've seen do it out of instinct without learning the escape.

For the record there are many higher percentage keylocks from guard taught in bjj (that also exist in all other arts, since no art owns submissions).

I'm probably one of the top 5 biggest sambo nuthuggers on this board, and even I am forced to say you're very rarely, if ever, going to catch that on anyone who knows whats up.

it looks pretty easy to defend, and if you have a good posture it would be impossible to do in the first place

yeah, this happens... but past 2 stripes people wont be sitting in you guard with their with elbows pinched.

To snag this on anyone with 6 months or more of BJJ training, you'd need to work sweeps and what not and get a lucky grab.

Now that I'm thinking... would it be easier to snag it in x-guard?
