just wondering why he's so into calling for the Khabib fight? Khabib has been on the shelf and had a mysterious health problem after missing the Tony fight.

So why not call out Tony Ferg? The guy waiting and asking for fights. That could possibly end up being another interim title fight so seems like the call out to make if I'm trying to get the big fight
 
Maybe he's eager to prove a point to everyone by calling out (and defeating) the guy that's supposedly the most feared fighter in the division? You can't fault him for that.
 
He's trying to get Khabib to give him a payday. But it's not going to work.

Because he's a big fish name wise & he probably senses vulnerability due to injury/weight cutting issues.

He has a death wish maybe?
 
Lee knows Khabib won't show up to fight & he'll get an easy short notice opponent
 
He wants the fastest route to the top and he knows Tony won't fight unless it's for a belt. It makes sense but I think his ego is getting the better of him. He's young and has talent but if he takes the top five lightly, he'll get put away.

Because Khabib is the number 1 guy in the division. The top dog cannot be a champion that will be missing for who knows how long otherwise he'd be calling out Conor.
 
At least he will call him out. Not many want to fight khabib
 
He answered this on MMA Hour, basically he thought from backstage rumors that Tony/Edson 2 was gonna happen and also since so many ppl think Khabib is a monster he wanted to show otherwise. He said it they want to do him/Ferg hed gladly take the fight

 
Khabib could be on a diet full of tiramisus and get injured and still would whoop that ass.
 
Well, what is he going to do? Ferguson won't, Diaz is out, McGregor is gone, Khabib is the one guy that is semi available.

In terms of the quickest way to the title, I'd rather go against Khabib than Barboza who is probably the next after those guys.
