Media Kevin Holland responds to altercation with Joseph Holmes at MMA Event

The IQ Kevin showed in WB fight was absolutely one of the lowest I've seen in the history of MMA. An embarrassing display really.

Kevin should talk less, train more.

And I believe Holmes. Why would he make up anything like that? He ain't pressing charges either, whereas this guy has all the motivation to do save face afterwards.

At least he has the talent to be able to make it to fight a guy like WB. Holmes will never be able to claim the same thing. You can't pretend to be all good with someone while talking a bunch of shit behind the scenes. Keep the same energy

What do you mean you think Kevin is in the wrong? He broke up a fight

Talent and fight IQs aren't necessarily the same thing, I guess.

Talking is part of Holland's gimmick. He wouldn't be as known as he is now if he didn't talk so much. It's part of the reason he gets so much attention. If he just fought and said nothing, he would just be another random fighter not getting any promotion and fight opportunities like he did. He would just be another random fighter on the roster working on a slow grind. His talking opened up more opportunities for bigger fights that he would have never got.

You can train all you want in the dark, but eventually you are going to have to make some noise and start drawing attention to yourself - or else you'll just stay in the dark.

And I used to specifically hate him for talking during fights. Now I’m a fan suddenly after the Daukus fight and I was even glad he got finished before the NC.

[TRUMP]Wrong![/TRUMP]

Actual lowest was Holland "Please rape me" high five to Hazmat.

Both of them will never sniff a title shot in the UFC, just gatekeepers at best.

Holland seems way to chill to be starting fights tbh

"I got jumped I got jumped I got jumped I went to grab my clothes because I changed my clothes so I went upstairs to um get my clothes...Kevin Holland puts his hand up and stops me and I do like bwop bwop and he's like bap bap bap I got jumped I got jumped"

Definitely sounds like Holmes is telling the truth.

<YeahOKJen>

They both sound ridiculous. Stairs.. Yeah pretty much every set of stairs I’ve encountered in public are wide enough that two people can pass eachother. So one of these clowns could have just moved aside. That’s what civilized people do. I treat that shit like the road. Coming down, I’ll take the right. Going up, you also take the right (which of course is the opposite of the guy coming down).. No worries.

Holland said he got grabbed and almost fell down the stairs. That’s where he stops. Then suddenly he says that guy got in a fight, I broke it up.

Eh?

Joe says somebody is punching him in the back of the head. Sounds like he’s still on the stairs. So Holland is coming down the stairs. But his boys jump Joe from behind? Meaning they’d have to be going up the stairs.

If Holland is coming down. Why would his boys be going up?

Literally NONE of what either of them said makes sense.

Edit.

Added that driving analogy.

Starts off petty with talking about the number of people watching vs “the other guy”

I'm a Kevin fan... but it seems he's purposely leaving stuff out to avoid a lawsuit or drama for his uncle and young friends.

Two things..

He says he and his uncle (or whoever) were walking down the stairs... but Holmes (who was walking up the stairs) changed sides to avoid walking into the person he has beef with (the uncle). So Holmes walks on Kevin's side, expecting Kev to move/turn side ways to let him pass. Kev didn't want to move and expects him to confront his uncle/friend instead (OR Kev expects Holmes to walk back down the stairs and let both of them pass.. then walk back up them stairs lol).

Second thing. Kev says that it's not his fault that Holmes was losing a fight...and that Holmes shouldn't go online and complain if he lost a fight. SO you mean to tell me this Uncle of Kevs is some hidden great fighter? Against a trainned fighter?... and even if Holmes was caught off guard, Holmes couldn't regather himself and then let his training help him take control of the situation? Na.. seems like he got jumped by more than one person.

It seems Kev and Uncle/friend found an opportunity to punk Holmes or egg him into a fight. Like in school when someone wants to bump into you on purpose to have a reason to start a fight.

What I got from this is on Kevin, and he needs to have better people around him. (I'm sure he's doing what he has to do with this video to not get sued or not get his uncle/friend in serious shit)

Kevin is only going to continue to get into some shit, by having folks around him who don't know how to look out for him in public (getting him to avoid confrontations...not causing confrontations themselves...etc).

Hopefully the venue had cameras and the truth comes out.
