I tried the search function, didn't find what I need.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but i'm new to kettlebells.
I've been reading some threads regarding using dumb bells instead of kettlebells. How would you grip a dumbbell and do swings as you would with kettlebells?

While I'm at it, how somebody give me soem sample workout routines I can do? thanks guys.

What is it with people just saying "give me?"
How about, go search on how to swing a dumbell.

if i was good at fabrications, i would make a handle that could be attached to the dumbell handle for to make it like a kettlebell.

God, S&P has gotten so bitchy. People just want a simple answer.

Stick a dumbell on the floor between your legs and sorta behind you. Reach through your legs, sorta behind ya, grab the dumbell, slam your hips forward, squeeeezzzzzzzzee your glutes and watch the DB go SWING.

Thanks for the SIMPLE answer. Much appreciated.

Ziltoid: Relax guy, I tried the search button. Im new to most of the info on this site, had a hard time sifting through it looking for pictures or directions.

One other tip for learning about any workout is youtube. Just type in what you are looking for and you'll find a video on it. You have to sift through some shit, but there is a ton of good videos on there that will show you workouts and form.

Truth.

Also, if you need (or don't) any further information, the FAQ may answer some questions you don't even have yet.

Lots of good video's, but, when I was learning cleans it was hard to differentiate proper form (the small nuances) etc.

I believe there was a thread dedicated to good work-out vid links.
