Matchroom Sport and Team Sauerland are delighted to announce that Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler will fight in Britain. The huge super middleweight rematch is the fight of the year in boxing and the two sides are delighted that terms have been agreed on the biggest fight on British soil in many years. Full details on the fight will be announced at a press conference soon, and both fighters have expressed their delight that they will once again lock horns. "First and foremost, I'm really pleased the fight has finally been arranged,
Now we're talking! Great news! I can't easily pick a winner, too tightly contested last time around. My gut says Froch. But, that's almost entirely on the basis that he looked so tremendous steamrolling Bute, and Kessler has been on a vacation from any kind of real threat for almost 3* years now. *Edit: Make that almost 3 yrs, not 2
This is the fight i've really been wanting to see this year, and in the UK as well, absolutely great news. Will definitely be picking up a ticket for this if i can afford it.
Froch wins rematch, Kessler has taken a sharp decline since their last fight whereas Froch has actually gotten better. I expect a clear Froch UD win.
Good fight. I'll take the guy I underestimated going into the super six (Froch) by clear decision over the guy I overestimate (Kessler). Froch has a way of beating guys I don't think he should be able to beat.
I like Froch in the rematch.Kessler won't make it easy that's for sure.Should be a good fight though either way.
