People are making a big deal about Conor going from FW to "welterweight," but people might forget what Kenny Florian did. On the ultimate fighter 1, they only had MW and LHW I think, and KenFlo fought and beat Chris Leben at 185. He then trickled down to 170, to 155, and finally 145. Pretty nuts.
No, he was never a champion like Conor, and going from heavy to light, instead of the other way around seems more like trying to gain more and more size advantage, rather than being brave and ballsy, but still, the dude fought across a ridiculous weight range.

Weight class doesn't matter to me, I see human bodies.

Being brave and ballsy is stupid.

Why doesn't everyone just fight HW if everyone is supposed to be ballsy and brave? They can all make 265 with the proper Sherdog diet.

If you were going for irony then 10/10.

Though I think it was unintended so I'll spell it out.

Kenflo and original? lol

Royce, BJ, Saku, etc...

Florian was a very good fighter back in his day, he's been retired for a few years now and the plagiarism thing was dumb on his part so people might not remember but he definitely wasn't a bad fighter just ran into two all time greats in BJ and Aldo.

Ummm, people have been jumping weight classes lonnnnng before Kenflo.

BJ Penn for example...

Sakuraba won a HW tournament that he lied about his weight to enter. He was 185 lbs.

Etc

so what you're saying is....kenny was shrinking throughout his career?

Lol at beating leben

Meh KenFlo did 4 weightclasses.

Plenty fighters have competed in 5, among them are some pretty big names, BJ, Gono, Ebbersole among others.

This guy is the Goat of weight class migration though:

Fought in every division from flyweight to heavyweight with some legit names on his resume

I agree; I don't think it's that brave, but it seemed like a lot of people perceived it that way. If Conor had actually become LW and then WW champ, I'd have been impressed. Clearly ain't going to happen.
