I love the guy's track record. I even love most of his fights. I was half rooting for him v.s Tito. However, is it me, or has he loooked for easy outs on most recent fights?

And, dude. I get the whole 50 year old thing.....

He never really looks like he wants to fight anymore after he takes his first good shot. It's been that way for years now.

For real. Ken just kinda quits, and then gets upset when the fight is stopped. Great Idol though, love Shamrock. Remember watching him and Royce on VHS!

Its a matter of mind set .I think he was so pumped up and quicker back in the day he never truly adjusted after Pride imop.....I would say 1996 is where he was peak, though one could argue 1993 b/c he wasn't overly big and more fluid.....in any case he should have went down the best fighter of all time ...size./skill/athletism/talent....what happened? changing of rulwes/age and mind set.....what ultimately went wrong? He was a early peak fighter as a late 20's early 30's.....with ped usage? Maybe but that was the game then.....I think rematch actually would sell good and wopuld want to see it....I mean how much can Shamrock fall down and continue his downward spiral even more? Get a win if you can then Run ....run far away from MMA.

Thanx..and as you can see im rewarded for posting yet more intelligent posts with a yellow card for being "SMART" on this forum....haha...Ive studied shoot fighting back in the day before UFc,I like the art still and its old school ways of thought, mainly street defense...Bart Vale is who I wanted to be back as a kid...lol....would have loved to see him in MMa back in the 80's. Tough guy.

Ken shamrock is hard to gauge his actual fighting abilities. He's old now but any notable win he has is from pan ease and pancrase was not legitimate mma fighting and was also known for having fixed fights. He also got brutally beaten in a fight by pro wrestler Jerry Saggs that him hospitalized. It's hard to actually judge shamrocks legit fighting abilities.

Even if you were hit in the nuts, why would you lay on the ground and take punches instead of fighting back? Your instinct should still be to fight back despite the pain. And then to hop right up afterwards and put on a production? It's the knee to the head that grounded him, and he was looking for an excuse to get out and save face.

It really sucks that this ended in controversy. This will not be the last time we see Ken and Royce fight unfortunately.

He beat a Severn easily who at the time would have beat Gracie in a rematch most likely back in the haydays. If that does not prove anything idont know/ Saggs? Saggs fought a drunkard shamrock in a mortel room ,lets not get ubsurd here and I have to think the telephone incident was real where he hoit shamrock with one.....howabout Shamrock fighting big show back stage and subbing him?

Being a mark isn't being intelligent....It's being a mark.

Didnt saggs sucker punch him from behind, with a fucking telephone?pretty sure he would beat his ass no problem. As for Ken, as the other poster said he peaked early and had a lot of damage when he started at 29 to begin with (neck issues). When he came back in 2000, he was already a shell physically of what he once was (by his own admission : i believe hé said something along the lines of that he was forced to be a standup fighter due to his shot knees from his wwe work), though his skills seemed to have improved (see otsuka and fujita fights). In the long run this led to him getting hit a lot more and that destroyed his once pretty solid Chin (see frye and first tito fight). In short, i think he was already on a sharp decline in 2000 and was away during a time which the sport evolved quickly. Hung around 16 years too long (and counting). Quite crazy if you think about it.

What's crazier is people believing that this fight and the fight he had with Kimbo were legit, not to mention some of his other fights (Sakuraba, Hume, etc.) I mean, Royce is going to attempt to clinch with Ken and not take him down or pull guard? Ken can't fling Royce to the mat or shrug him off? Come on...

Being a mark for someones insecurities is another matter....my posts speak for themselves .On the other hand you couldnt figure out why shamrock actually lost to kimbo and claimed it wasnt real..Intelligent was the word used correct.go figure?

Agreed, though i can't determine which were the obvious works besides hume, suzuki, one funaki fight and the Kimbo fight. He's So far gone now that I could buy him not being able to throw around royce anymore. Only reason he pushed Kimbo around pretty easy was it being a work.
