The fight took place at 180 but unlike McKenzie, Kelvin actually tried and was taken to the hospital, thats how badly dehydrated he was...thats how hard it was.

Even with a tough weight cut, he took tyron to a split decision...Tyron was 100% good.

Kelvin has improved way more than Tyron and has been way more active.

There is no doubt in my mind, that he would destroy Tyron at WW right now.....and he has a great chance of beating whittaker as well.

He has a great chance of being a 2 division champ....and if he keeps making weight...the UFC would surely allow him to be a 2 division champ, because it seems to me that the UFC really likes him(I think its because he is Mexican thus they want that mexican market and a 2 division champ might get more Mexicans to watch UFC).

Welcome to the Kelvin Gastelum era.

No.

To be champ at 170, you have to be able to make 170 on a consistent basis.

Or was he taken to the hospital because he was too obese? Seems unclear to me

He reminds me of bj penn.. great talent but missing that driver and work ethic to take him to the next level he should be a beast of a 170lber

Can’t make 171 allowance let alone 170 title limit and is 3-1 at 185 yet being hyped as two division champion calibe

Amazing

Welcome to the Kelvin Gastelum era.
thats really great im happy for you and respect your opinion, but noone really cares about kelvin gastelum

i would bet my account on him never becoming champ in the ufc.

I rarely go into this 2 div. champ thing but I think Kelvin could be

If he beats Whittaker I'd actually be down for a Tyron rematch IF
1. Kelvin can make 170 for that fight (he probably can't)
2. There are no legit title shot contenders at MW at the time
