Big fight tonight as undefeated emerging star Kelly Pavlik moves up in weight to face the legendary boxer Bernard Hopkins. Pavlick has all the momentum, and with each fight he looks better and better, plus he KO'd Taylor and the best Hopkins could do was a draw and that was a couple of years a go. Still no fight against Hopkins is easy, Hopkins knows every trick in the book and has amazing ring generalship. But Pavlik is 15 years younger and carries great power, a KO here would raise his status even higher to big ppv attraction, plus it sets up with the Zag/RJJ winner or a big unification fight against Abraham. We also have a few top prospects on the undercard and a decent title fight with Lueveno verses the untested Dib. The two prospects to watch are Danny Garcia and Daniel Jacobs. Jacobs has been on an absolute tear, such fast hands and power, already about 10-0, look for him to rise up fast, plus Danny Garcia is another former amateur star who has impressed in every fight. PPV starts at 9, enjoy.

If somebody forced me to bet on this one I'd take Bernard, but it's a hard one to pick.

anytime Bernard fights, he's got a good chance to win.

but i think Pavlik's ability to throw tons of punches for 12 rounds will get him a decision victory.

that's a good possibility but I think Pavlik has moved up in weight twice in his last 2 fights, that's the main reason I would pick Bernard

Pavlik!! B-Hop hasn't thrown punches in bunches since I can remember. I see him getting outworked over 12. just my 2 cents

Pavlik wins an ugly decision..B-hop looks good in 20 second spurts as usual now and claims victory while landing 100 less punches.

B-Hop could take some rounds in the first middle of the fight by his experience and tricks but when the fight goes on the more younger big puncher will maul him.

Bernard is no longer fighting to win at this point in his career. He is trying to prove a point(look at me i can hang in there with the younger guys).

That and possibly a little thing called cash.

It sounds like a really good card, but my DirecTV bill is high enough already without adding PPV's. So I guess it'll be the UFC on Spike for me tonight.

I think people are unreasonable to expect a Pavlik KO, but so long as he puts on a good dominant performance his stock shouldn't be adversely affected. My fear though is that he'll win ugly, get knocked down, cut up, and made to look clumsy and two-dimensional. That puts a dampener on a potential clash with Zag, at least.

It may not be reasonable, and a lot of boxing experts who know more than me are saying it wont happen, but I got Pavlik by knockout. Kelly is actually busier than Calzaghe a lot of the time, and he hits a lot harder. Unless Hopkins flips the switch and comes out like he did against Tarver, I think we will see him get stretched out for the count for the first time in his life.

the ghost by ko....bhop is too old and his only shot is to draw out a decision

Hopkins is so Ring-savy, thats what i fear. He can take any figher out of his game with his dirty tricks.

Hoping for a Pavlik KO.
