I have never gassed out my ankles playing closed guard. If there is uncomfortable pressure on your ankles long enough for your ankles to get tired out, while playing closed guard, you are doing something wrong.


Yes, actually I agree with you.

I also never gas out my legs playing closed guard. But I did as a beginner. So as a person who has trained for a relatively decent amount of time, I'm just relating my experience of having my legs murdered while trying to use tard strength not to get passed.
