Kayla Harrison no to mma,"not cut out for a world where you get fights based on how pretty you are"

Do you think Nunes is champion because she is pretty?

You could say Amanda Nune's was not first choice material for a title shot. If it wasn't for the number of unfortunate events in the 135lb division, Nune's probably wouldn't have had a crack at the title until 2017-2018.

Kayla isn't necessary right with her statement but looks and popularity go hand in hand and do play an influence in the UFCs marketing, especially in WMMA, even if Sherdogger don't want to admit it.

She's clearly not a fighter if this is the excuse she gives. You have to have the desire burn in you to fight.

The MMA world misses nothing by her not fighting. She would have gotten wrecked in Invicta

It's prizefighting. It will always be this way.

Boxing is the more established historic sport and it has been like this too since forever. Big draws dictate the terms of the fights. This will never change.

Boxing and MMA are sports where you only need two interesting fighters to sell a PPV. Or in some cases even only one star fighter smashing unknowns is good enough (Mike Tyson or Ronda Rousey if you want an WMMA example). That's why the entire game will revolve around these fighters (the big draws) because they bring the money in while the rest doesn't. The fighters understand this, the promoters understand this and most fans understand this too.
Mike Tyson was an entertaining trash talker, ali was a master, Mayweather and so on. People act as if the UFC invented this form of marketing. People have been able to make a living prize fighting not just by ability alone.

She's not wrong.

She's also way too big for any UFC weight class, so what's the point?

She will live a comfortable life training people in the sport that she loves. Sounds like a nice life to me.

It helps but winning is the most important thing. I'm not sure where Kayla is coming from anyway, because she's definitely pretty enough to be an MMA fighter. She's not bad looking and is much pretty than most female fighters.
